The REDMAGIC 10S Pro is a gaming phone from REDMAGIC. It was announced in China on May 26, 2025, and launched globally on June 5, 2025. Open sales started on June 18. In the US, it started at $699 for the version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone is now discontinued, and every version is sold out on REDMAGIC’s official stores.
Design and display
The 10S Pro keeps the flat, squared-off design of the 10 Pro. It has an aluminum mid-frame and a glass back, and it measures 163.42 x 76.14 x 8.9 mm. It weighs 229 g. There are three colors: Nightfall in matte black, plus Moonlight and Dusk with transparent backs.
The front is a 6.85-inch BOE AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2688 x 1216 pixels. It runs at up to 144Hz and reaches 2,000 nits at peak. Because the 16MP selfie camera sits under the display, the screen has no notch or punch hole. For games, the phone adds 520Hz touch shoulder triggers, a customizable Magic Key and RGB lighting. REDMAGIC does not list a water-resistance rating on its official spec sheet.
Performance
The phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version, an overclocked edition of the chip. Its CPU reaches 4.47 GHz, and the Adreno 830 GPU runs at up to 1.2 GHz. A separate RedCore R3 Pro gaming chip handles upscaling and frame generation in supported games.
Memory goes up to 24GB of LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage. The ICE-X cooling system uses Liquid Metal 2.0 and a 12,000 mm² vapor chamber. It also adds a fan that spins at up to 23,000 rpm. In China, the phone also ships with a built-in Windows game emulator. However, REDMAGIC did not announce that feature for the global model.
Cameras
On the back, there are three cameras behind a flat glass cover with no camera bump. The 50MP main camera uses a 1/1.55-inch OmniVision OV50E40 sensor with an f/1.88 lens and optical stabilization. Next to it are a 50MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.0 lens and a 2MP auxiliary camera. The main camera records video in up to 8K at 30fps. The 16MP under-display selfie camera records in 1080p.
Battery and charging
A 7,050 mAh dual-cell battery powers the phone. It supports 80W wired charging, and the charger comes in the box. However, there is no wireless charging. In China, the 10S Pro+ variant uses a larger 7,500 mAh battery with 120W charging.
Software and updates
The 10S Pro shipped with REDMAGIC OS 10.5 based on Android 15. REDMAGIC promises three years of software support in most regions. In the European Union and the UK, support is extended to five years.
Should you buy the REDMAGIC 10S Pro?
The 10S Pro suits mobile gamers who want active cooling, shoulder triggers and a large battery. It also keeps a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port with video output. On the other hand, it lacks wireless charging, eSIM support and a telephoto camera. The phone is no longer produced. Buyers who want a new REDMAGIC gaming phone can look at its successor, the REDMAGIC 11S Pro.
