The Xiaomi 13T Pro is a high-end phone from Xiaomi with Leica-tuned cameras. Xiaomi announced it on September 26, 2023, at an event in Berlin. It was not sold in the US. In Europe, it launched at €799.90 with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The phone is now discontinued, and Xiaomi’s online stores no longer sell it.
Design and display
The 13T Pro uses the same body as the Xiaomi 13T. It measures 162.2 x 75.7 mm. The Alpine Blue version has a vegan leather back, is 8.62 mm thick and weighs 200 g. The Black and Meadow Green versions have a glass back, are 8.49 mm thick and weigh 206 g. The frame is plastic, and the phone has an IP68 rating.
The flat 6.67-inch AMOLED screen has a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels at 446 ppi. It refreshes at up to 144 Hz and supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HDR10. Xiaomi rates its peak brightness at 2,600 nits. Gorilla Glass 5 protects the front.
Performance
The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+, built on a 4 nm process. Its Cortex-X3 core reaches up to 3.35 GHz, and the GPU is an Immortalis-G715. Xiaomi pairs it with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Versions include 12 GB with 256 GB or 512 GB, plus 16 GB with 1 TB. There is no microSD card slot.
Cameras
The rear cameras match the Xiaomi 13T and were co-engineered with Leica. The main camera uses a 50 MP 1/1.28-inch Sony IMX707 sensor. It has an f/1.9 lens and optical image stabilization. A 50 MP telephoto camera offers 2x optical zoom at a 50 mm equivalent focal length. A 12 MP ultra-wide camera covers a 15 mm field of view. Unlike the 13T, the Pro records 8K video at 24 fps and 4K at up to 60 fps. It also supports 10-bit Log recording. The 20 MP front camera records up to 1080p at 30 fps.
Battery and charging
The 13T Pro has a 5,000 mAh battery. It supports 120W HyperCharge wired charging. Xiaomi quotes a full charge in 19 minutes in Boost mode and 24 minutes in standard mode. The 120W charger is included in the box. The phone does not support wireless charging.
Software and updates
The phone launched with Android 13 and MIUI 14. Xiaomi promised four major Android updates and five years of security patches. Other features include NFC, an IR blaster, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The USB-C port runs at USB 2.0 speed. For security, there is an optical in-display fingerprint reader and 2D face unlock.
Should you buy the Xiaomi 13T Pro?
The Xiaomi 13T Pro suits buyers who want flagship-level performance and very fast charging. It also offers a bright display, IP68 protection and a 2x telephoto camera. However, the phone is no longer produced, so new units are hard to find. Its successor is the Xiaomi 14T Pro. Buyers who need wireless charging should look elsewhere.
